The Knight's Armament Company (KAC) KS series includes options for four primary barrel lengths: 11.5\", 13.7\", 14.5\", and 16\", and is chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO. The series features dimpled, heavy-profile barrels for heat resistance and the proprietary URX 6 handguard. Key design elements include ambidextrous controls, an enhanced QD sling point end plate, and intermediate-length gas systems for the 13.7\" and 14.5\" barrels.

Barrel:.Heavy profile, cold hammer-forged barrels with ball-mill dimpling for reduced weight and heat-related shift.

Handguard:.The URX 6, a proprietary free-floating design with M-LOK slots on seven sides and a full-length 12:00 rail for attachment.

Gas System:.An intermediate-length gas system is used on the 13.7\" and 14.5\" barrel variants.

Ambidextrous Controls:.The KS series features ambidextrous controls, including a magazine release, bolt release, safety selector, and charging handle.

Color Options:.The rifles will be available commercially in BLACK ONLY!

Lower Receiver:.The commercial versions have a monolithic lower receiver with a milled trigger guard, while the military contract version has a removable trigger guard.

Lower Receiver Features:.An enhanced end plate provides three QD sling swivel mounting points, including a novel rear position.
Suppression
- The KS series is designed for optimized use with Knight's Armament Company (KAC) suppressors. KAC's suppressors, such as the QDC and QDSS NT4 lines, are developed concurrently with the host rifles for consistent performance in both suppressed and unsuppressed conditions.
